A good friend of mine moved last year to concentrate on his studies. While studying for his exams, he didn't have a job so he was just getting by with what he had. With what he had, he still lived life to the fullest. He traveled multiple times, maintained a relationship, going out countless times. Having a conversation with him one time he told me "just because I'm unemployed, doesn't mean I'm not going to enjoy life."
It wasn't until now that the words really hit me. My mentality before was to get a new job and then start on all these goals I set for myself. The goals included working out, enhancing my photoshop skills, hardcore studying Japanese. The reason behind this is because I really felt that if I didn't get a decent job, I wouldn't be at a respectable level and I would be ashamed of that. To this day I really feel like I'm not at a good point yet. All my peers that I grew up with are continuing to grow to a higher level.
After a enjoyable weekend with my friends, I realized that I was playing myself. I shouldn't be pushing off other goals because I can't achieve one. I should be working on all my goals at the same time. So today, I told myself that its time for a change. I'm going to be more productive with my time and I'm happy to say that I'm staying good to my word. I know that its only day one, but I'm going to be happy when I report that I'm still good to my word at day 200, 250, 300 and so on. It's all about self improvement, and it doesn't help if your too busy trippin about getting a new position.
Take a deep breath, re-examine what will benefit yourself. Take the actions to make it happen. If you have to fight the fight, then do it!

I agree with this whole new outlook of yours, but what it also takes is sheer determination and knowing what paths to take and still be determined no matter what is thrown at you. Determined to reach that goal.
I often hear a lot of people have goals but when I ask what they're going to do to reach that goal, then they get stuck and say "I don't know" they just want the easiest road. When you set a goal, make sure that you know yourself and your limits and what you are capable of. Set an achievable goal and keep building on it.
