My apologies for not updating this as often as I should. But I'm dealing with a lot of stuff right now. One of them is somebody stealing my credit card information. Here's a little rundown on what happened.
Everyday I check my online statement to see if I have any unusual charges or if I was charged correctly.
A couple weeks ago I noticed a small charge from a company I know I didn't authorize.
So I called the customer service center and I ended up getting a customer service center that was out of the country. And they told me that I couldn't do anything about it until the charges actually charges on my card.
So I waited to see if the charge would disappear
Two days later I find two more unauthorized pending charges for over $950. Which would put me over my credit limit.
I said "Fuck that" and called the customer service center again.
This time I get one from within the country. I told them what was going on and they immediately connected me to their fraud department.
I was able to get stuff settled.
The thing I'm wondering was, how come I couldn't go straight to the fraud department when I noticed the first small charge.
What I'm tripping about is that this is my second time getting my identity stolen. And i never want to end up like those people in the citi bank commercials. The first time I got my information stolen was by some spyware off my ex-roommates computer. With the spyware, they were able to steal my ebay and e-mail information. I noticed something was fishy when I couldn't log onto my own e-mail. When I got my stuff back, some mother fucker bought a whole bunch of crap on my ebay account. I got pissed. Luckily nothing was charged and I changed my info in time.
Dealing with shit like that is a large hassle. And especially having to deal with it twice. To everybody I know, please be careful with your information. You don't know who might take your stuff.
